Baby in the Briar Patch…

Friday, June 6th, 2008

I took my daughter to a berry farm last weekend.  It’s amazing how their eyes light up at fruit outside, but not fruit on the kitchen countertop!  This farm was specifically for kids and babies who wanted to spend more time playing with the fruit rather than eating it.  There were blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and frank-n-berries…ok, this last one I made up (remember the cereal?).  The best time to go is when it’s overcast outside. If it’s too hot, that’s a distraction.  If it’s raining, you get wet.  Makes sense?

Country Berry Farm - Baby Gift Baskets

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Fresh Fruit is delicious and healthy.  There is always a need for fruit when sending a gift basket.  Babies love fruit.  It is difficult to send a baby basket with fruit because of the other items present in a baby gift.  Sleepers, rattlers, and other items would not mix well with fruit in a baby basket.  One option is to send a regular baby gift basket without fruit and a fruit basket for the parents.  There is a lot of options available when sending gifts, and variety is key.  Types of fruit, based on region and weather are considerations.
